HATE FOR ANOTHER

1 John 4:20

If anyone says, “I love God,” but hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love a brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Personal Challenge

We live in a day where false Christianity has become rampant. This is not about denominations or faith practices. John is very clear here. If you say that you love God and yet hate another human being, then your profession of faith is a lie. Lord, have mercy! We cannot be hateful to immigrants and claim to love God. We cannot be hateful to people with different political perspectives, opinions, or beliefs and claim to love God. If you belong to a faith practice that pronounces or supports any kind of hate, then you are part of a heretical group and need to flee. Strong words, but words directly from the very scriptures that you profess to follow. Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!
