GOD’S AUTHORITY
Sirach 10:4 (not in Protestant Bible)
The authority of the earth is in the hand of the Lord,
And He will raise up the right man for an appointed time.
Encouraging Words
As followers of Christ, we choose to believe that our God has authority over the earth as well as over the heavens. In that authority He has in the past, and continues to this day, to raise up the right people for the day and age as needed. Sometimes these people are leaders, sometimes they are humanitarians that bring wake up calls to those around them. In all cases God still allows them their free will as to whether they answer His call or not. It is also important to understand that sometimes these people will fill the role of leading us to higher ground and greener pastures. Sometimes their role is to test us to see if we will follow evil and abandon our God. In all cases, we all have our own free will of how we will respond. Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!
