Sirach 17:5-8 (not in Protestant Bible)
He gave mankind the ability to deliberate,
And a tongue, eyes and ears, and a heart to think with.
He filled them with the skill of comprehension
And showed them good and evil.
He set His eye upon their hearts
To show them the majesty of His works.
They will praise His holy name
So as to fully describe the majesty of His works.
Encouraging Words
As followers of Christ, we believe, and should base our every action upon the truth, that every human being is/was created in the very image of the God that we worship and follow. Color, race, sex, opinion, preferences, et cetera, cannot, and will not, change that image of God within them. As we are taught in Eastern Orthodox Christianity, we are all a diamond that is covered with layers of grime and filth, but still a diamond. In our journey to theosis, God wipes away those layers to reveal His image. Any faith practice that diminishes another human being is practicing heresy. Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy! Lord, have mercy!
