FOOLISH OR WISE?
Sirach 21:26 (not in Protestant Bible)
The heart of fools is in their mouth,
But the mouth of the wise is in their heart.
Personal Challenge
So many times throughout the scriptures we are warned about the use of our tongue. Sirach paints a very clear picture of the difference between a foolish and a wise person as it relates to the use of their tongue. The fool opens his mouth before he processes what might come out which clearly exposes the true nature of his heart. The wise person, however, processes in his heart before he opens his mouth. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, the sinner!
